Most common home flooring materials include laminate, hardwood, tiles, carpets and vinyl flooring. 

Homes are built to last many years and in some cases are even passed on from one generation to another. Although the structure may last multiple years, the finishes may need to be upgraded as they wear off. 1. Wooden Flooring

Wooden flooring products are available in hardwood and laminate and can brighten up your home. Hardwood is real wood whereas laminate is engineered. Wooden flooring is available in multiple colors and shades and is one of the most important selection in your home upgrades. Laminate flooring is easier to maintain than hardwood and is less expensive however the latter may offer better design options and aesthetics. Hardwood is often considered as one of the premium home flooring options. 

2. Tiles:

You can change the aesthetics of your floor by changing tiles in the kitchen and bathroom areas. In addition to adding color to the spaces, these tiles can also help with maintenance and water drainage. Tiles are available in ceramic, porcelain and stone. Stone tiles are more expensive however they offer excellent design options. You can also use tile at the front door entryway as well as a backsplash in the kitchen.

3. Garage Flooring: 

Garage is the last space you may think of while renovating your home. Infact many of us do not even know that there is garage flooring available at home stores. 6. Rugs and Mats

Rugs are used to beautify and define interior spaces. They are easily available in general stores and home renovation stores. Choosing the size is important when purchasing a rug as you would want to cover the floor end to end. Some mats in spaces like the kitchen and the entrance help protect the flooring underneath. Many new homes are built with wooden flooring which may get easily damaged without flooring mats.
